Athreyas. Keeping large systems boring.
I build things, break them, and then write down what happened. The order varies.
Most of it runs on a small pile of hardware in my house that I am unreasonably fond of — a couple of services, a proxy in front of them, and a private network holding the whole thing together. Some of it is even useful.
By day I am a Site Reliability Engineer — fifteen years of keeping global infrastructure upright, most recently the zero-trust security platform at Zscaler. The interesting half of that job is making sure nobody notices it.
Where that is heading: customer-facing infrastructure architecture and forward deployment — taking a customer's constraints and designing the system that fits them, with a bias towards secure, reliable AI systems. Some of the working-out is in selected work.
